January 19th, 2004WEST VANCOUVER, BC - The Salmon House proudly supports Tourism Vancouver's 'Dine-Out' 2004 promotion that begins January 23 and ends February 5 - a 4-day extension over last year's outrageously popular promotion. A new addition to Dine-Out Vancouver, Salmon House Executive Chef, Dan Atkinson is pleased to present his West Coast fare with style as he launches his special 3-course menu featuring such items as: Grilled Pancetta Bacon & Tiger Prawns to get your taste buds working, followed by the Famous Aldergrilled Wild BC 'Teriyaki' Salmon with mandarin orange beurre blanc, and to end the meal beautifully, Milk Chocolate Swan Profiterole.
Sister restaurants to The Salmon House that are also 'dine-out' participants are Horizons Restaurant located on beautiful Burnaby Mountain; and Aqua Riva situated on Vancouver's harbourfront overlooking the Convention Centre and North Shore mountains. Horizons Executive Chef, John Garrett, is pleased to present his exquisite 3-course offering of: steamy, rich Lobster Bisque with poached prawn and chive chantilly to warm up your palate, followed by Wood-grilled BC Wild Salmon accompanied with sea scallop-oyster mushroom risotto and tarragon beurre blanc; and to end your experience on a sweet note, Port Wine Poached Winter Pear with caramel ice cream and nut praline.
Aqua Riva's menu has changed from last year's offering under the leadership of new Executive Chef, Mario Fortin, who presents a fabulous 3-course menu with items such as: a mouth-watering appetizer of Pan Seared Fanny Bay Oysters with enoki mushroom & haricot vert salad and garlic anchovy aioli, followed by the Nori Crusted Wild BC Salmon with shiitake mushroom and scallion risotto, cucumber citrus relish and lobster oil; and to finish off your meal, Chocolate Decadence Cake with chocolate sabayon.
As an added feature to this successful promotion, all of our fine dining destinations are pairing wines to compliment the various featured menu items. Each of our restaurants proudly serves Wild BC Salmon as well as a host of other fresh BC products including a large selection of premium BC wines.
